Imagine this: You’re getting ready for work in the morning. You spend a crazy amount of time with your eyelash curler clamped to your lashes and layering your mascara.
Now it's your lunch break: You take a look in the mirror and realize it was all in vain. Mascara has flaked, and your curled lashes took a deep dive south, now you’re depressed!
Enter the Lash Lift and Tint. Basically a perm and dye job for your eyelashes, these low-maintenance treatments are basically the answer to all of life's problems. They lift, curl, darken, give the appearance of longer lashes and shave time off of your morning routine. Plus, you wake up looking like a princess and you go to bed looking like a princess.
What is a Lash Lift and Tint?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that lasts up to 6-8 weeks. Your lashes are curled from base to the tip using a tiny curling rod and lifting solution. The lashes are rolled back onto the curling rod using an adhesive solution. Once your esthetician ensures everything is in the correct position, a lifting solution is applied for 7-10ish minutes, followed by a setting solution to lock in the shape.
What is a Lash Tint?
An eyelash tint is a treatment that dyes the lashes making them look darker without having to use mascara. The treatment can last anywhere from 3-6 weeks. A dye, similar to hair dye, but specifically formulated to use around the eye area, is applied lash line to tip and is left to process for 10 minutes. Once it’s removed your lashes have been transformed from blah to bling! Hello, gorgeous!
Are these treatments safe?
Yes. Both treatments are specially formulated for use around the delicate eye area. The formulations are cruelty, paraben and sulfate free, and the lash lift formulation contains keratin, which is an ingredient found in many beauty products. It helps protect, soften and strengthen hair.
How much do these treatments cost and how long does it take?
The lash lift and tint together is $85. The lash lift alone is $70. I always recommend doing both at the same time for a real wow-factor. They’re like peaches and cream. The process together takes around an hour.
Is there anything I need to avoid after the treatment?
The first 48 hours after is the most crucial in order to maintain results. It is advised to avoid water, mascara, lash growth serums and sweating. It’s also recommended to avoid sleeping on your stomach, as your lashes are still “moldable” during this time.
Can anyone receive this treatment?
Yes, as long as your lashes are about as long as a grain of rice (¼”). Pull out the tape measure.
Is a Lash Lift like Lash Extensions?
No. Extensions are synthetic or natural fibers that are applied individually to the base of each & every...single...lash. Lash extensions are amazing, but can be a painstakingly long process and expensive commitment.
When you get a lash lift and tint, something of an optical illusion occurs and your lashes do look longer - not as long as extensions, but longer. Think au natural Disney Princess!
Cheers to peace, love, and fairytale lashes!
